Botanically it derives from root of Nardostachys jatamansi, Caprifoliaceae (formerly Valerianaceae) family, grown in Nepal., worked up by steam distillation. Jatamansone (valeranone) is the marker constituent, and largely explains how the material behaves in a blend. We hold it in sizes from samples to bulk containers, with paperwork issued per shipment. It is often specified alongside our absolute oils and co2 extract oils.
