Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry separates an oil into its individual constituents and identifies each by its molecular fingerprint. It is the industry-standard proof of purity: an adulterated or stretched oil shows peaks that should not be there, and a genuine one matches its expected constituent pattern. Every batch we release is checked before it ships, and the certificate that travels with your consignment reports the parameters below.

Because the raw material is agricultural. Rainfall, soil, harvest timing and even the hour of picking shift an oil's chemistry within a natural band. That is why our product pages quote typical figures and the exact lot value is stated on the COA issued with your consignment.
An essential oil is produced by distillation or cold pressing; an absolute is produced by solvent extraction and alcohol refinement. Absolutes carry heavier aromatic molecules that never survive a still, which is why jasmine and tuberose are always offered as absolutes rather than distilled oils.
A CO2 extract is processed at low temperature and captures a wider slice of the plant's chemistry, so it usually smells closer to the raw material and may contain heavier compounds a still leaves behind. A distilled oil contains only what steam can carry. Neither is "better" — formulators choose based on the profile they need.

Cool, dark and airtight. Light, heat and oxygen slowly oxidise an oil, dulling the odour and altering the chemistry — citrus oils are the most sensitive. Keep containers well filled, tightly capped, away from sunlight, and ideally between 5–25 °C.
